When a deep-sea salvager searching the ruins of the sunken liner Titanic uncovers a sketch of a beautiful girl wearing a priceless diamond necklace, an old woman comes forward and identifies herself as the girl in the picture. Hoping she'll reveal what happened to the diamond, the salvager invites her to tell her story... but is soon caught up in her tale of love, loss, and tragedy.
This is by far Ewan's most famous role, and the hype isn't entirely undeserved. ;) Ewan gets not a little screentime as First Officer Murdoch, and he has some of the best scenes in the entire movie.
