Father Mulcahy is a character who first appeared in Richard Hooker's 1968 book M*A*S*H. The book was made into a movie in 1970, which met with great success. When a television series based on the movies was made (1972-1983), the character of Father Mulcahy was brought to the small screen. Though he started out as a supporting character, Father Mulcahy became an important part of the show.
The character of Father Mulcahy has been portrayed by three actors: Rene Auberjonois (the movie), George Morgan (1972, the TV pilot), and William Christopher (1972-1983, the length of the show's run). I like William Christopher's portrayal the best, meself :)
Don't know what a fanlisting is? It's simple, really: a fanlisting is a list of people who are all fans of a certain subject, person, show, movie, book, character, relationship, etc. Still not clear? Check out TheFanlistings.org for more information and more fanlistings.
Mulcahy's War was opened on June 6, 2003. The site name comes from the title of a fifth-season M*A*S*H episode in which Father Mulcahy realizes he knows very little about what goes on at the war's front and, in an attempt to understand what soldiers face during combat, goes with Radar to bring a wounded soldier back from a combat zone. On the way back to the M*A*S*H unit the soldier stops breathing, and Mulcahy performs an emergency tracheotomy with radio assistance from the 4077th surgical team. Mulcahy emerges from the experience with a better understanding of the horrors soldiers must face everyday. The episode is excellently written and performed, and is one of my personal favorites.
This site was hand-coded in Notepad. The logo and code buttons were created using Adobe Photoshop 6. Fonts used in the logo are Codex, Mistral, and Perpetua; the Bible and rosary are from a dingbat font called Faith. The Father Mulcahy pictures were found through Google; I do not know who owns them. If you see a picture here that belongs to you, please let me know and I'll give you proper credit.
